Marriott International Partnership: A New Era for Lumbini Palace Resort
At Lumbini Palace Resort, a premier hospitality destination operating in Siyari Ward No. 5 of Rupandehi District since 2018, we are proud to announce a landmark transformation in Nepal’s luxury tourism sector. After three consecutive years of profitable operations, we have officially signed a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) with Marriott International, paving the way for our upgrade and operation under the prestigious Lumbini Marriott Resort & Spa brand.
A Historic Milestone for Nepal Tourism
This strategic collaboration marks a historic achievement, as it will become Marriott International’s first and only resort presence in Nepal outside the Kathmandu Valley. The partnership reinforces Lumbini Palace Resort’s commitment to delivering world-class hospitality while positioning Lumbini as a global luxury destination.
The agreement was finalized with Global Hospitality Licensing S.A.R.L. (Marriott International) in the presence of senior leadership from both organizations. Representing Lumbini Palace Resort were Chairman Mr. Deepak Pandey and Managing Director Mr. Roshan Kumar Neupane. Marriott International was represented by Mr. Neeraj Govil (Chief Operations Officer, Asia Pacific), Mr. Kiran Andicott (Senior Vice President, Development – South Asia), and Ms. Juhi Roy (Vice President, Development – South Asia).
The resort is on track to secure its official five-star operating license by the end of the current fiscal year.
